Just got engaged or planning a wedding in the near future?
The first step for the happy couple is to make themselves aware of the civil and religious requirements for those wishing to be married under the auspices of the United Synagogue. You can find full details of these on the US website at www.theus.org.uk/category/marriage
Rabbi Daniel would be honoured to officiate at your wedding, whether it is held at the shul or at another venue. We have been delighted to record more weddings over the last few years than in the whole of the previous history of our shul.
But marriage is more than just a wedding. Before the big day, Rabbi Daniel will arrange a series of face-to-face meetings with the bride and groom to discuss the spiritual and practical aspects of a Jewish marriage and setting up a happy Jewish home.
Our shul will also be delighted to arrange an aufruf with an aliyah for the groom and his family on a Shabbat before the wedding, while our social committee will be pleased to help arrange and serve a celebratory kiddush, tailored to suit your budget.
For those couples who may prefer the intimacy of a small wedding attended by close family and friends, the welcoming and personal atmosphere of our shul lends itself perfectly to making your day very special.
