There is always something going on at the shul. You are sure to find a range of events that will appeal to you and your family.
Regular annual happenings include our popular quiz supper, our summer barbecue, our new members’ evening, our parties to mark Chanukah, Purim and Succot, our cheesecake-fuelled Tikkun Leil Shavuot, as well as our public Chanukiah lighting in the city centre, not forgetting, of course, our Shabbat UK programme.
In the past few years, we have sought inspiration from beyond our walls, with community trips to Poland (Warsaw, Lodz, Krakow and Auschwitz), to Berlin, and closer to home, to the British Museum (for a pre-Pesach tour of the Egyptian department).
Our Mitzvah Day programme expands each year, with regular visits to the Holocaust Survivors’ Centre, as well as endeavours on behalf of local environmental and charitable groups.
