Sizzling summer BBQ

Vivienne Morris, who hosted the event along with husband Gerald in their spacious garden, writes:

“So, after last year’s downpours on the day of the shul’s annual BBQ, we were again on shpilkes with the weather. Will it? Won’t it?

Erev BBQ day, the bouncy castle supplier asked if we wanted to go ahead. Having weather watched consistently for hours, we decided to do so. What a great call, as the weather was perfect. Just under 50 attended, with the children busy with arts and crafts and a treasure hunt in the garden, and of course having fun on the bouncy castle.Rabbi Daniel had to be reprimanded for having a go.

Food was again amazing, with Peter Grubner and Daniel Agasee doing a sterling job manning the barbecue.

The definite highlight of the day was watching Rabbi Daniel having a lift home on the back of a Harley Davidson ridden by Andrew Jacobs. This was the fifth time we have hosted this annual event and big thanks go to all who helped make it the success that it was.”
